ABOUT

Chelsie Nectow is an NYC based AEA actor, singer, and dancer.

Favorite credits include Bright Star (Alice), Ragtime (Mother), White Christmas (Betty), The Last Five Years (Cathy), Les Miserables at Theatre Aspen, and Newsies at Theatre by the Sea.

Of her Fall 2023 performance as Alice in Bright Star, critics said, “Nectow is not only a phenomenal singer, the performer is simply tremendous as Alice… Thanks to Nectow’s steadfast approach, Alice is proven to have the most depth and growth..and we simply feel privileged to be along that journey with her.”

“Alice is played with aplomb by Chelsie Nectow, who manages the 16-year-old version of herself brilliantly. As the older editor of Asheville Southern Journal, she is equally impressive. Her singing is the equal of her acting, and in songs like “Way Back in the Day” and “I Had a Vision” she is perfection.”

In addition to performing, Chelsie also teaches and directs youth theatre, and gives new life to old quilts as The Quilted Queer. She received her degree from The Manhattan School of Music. She resides in Upper Manhattan with her partner, Heather, and their rescue pups, Ru & Maple.
